Welcome back, Red Hook Chamber members!
Our first newsletter since relaunching
Dear Red Hook Chamber Members,
An early Happy Holidays to you all! It’s been a while since we last communicated with you. Our new email newsletter, affectionately nicknamed “BizBuzz,” will be hosted here on Substack from now on. If you or others are interested in hearing regular updates from the Chamber of Commerce, please share and subscribe. (If Chamber communications are no longer relevant to you, feel free to unsubscribe.)
Re-introduction
As you may know, the Chamber of Commerce has been in a bit of a transition. My name is Agatha Bacelar, and I am thrilled to be the new director of the Chamber. Kim McGrath has moved on to new, exciting adventures (find her at Greig Farm!) and we are so grateful for the hard work, time, and dedication she gave to the Chamber for twelve years. For more coverage on that, check out this Daily Catch article.

What we’ve been working on
The board and I have been working on some exciting projects. Be on the lookout for a gift guide in the coming weeks and our new website early next year. We also have some great new businesses in town, so ribbon cuttings are in our near future. We would love to see you join us in the celebrations. More on that to come.
Small Business Saturday
Saturday, November 26th is Small Business Saturday. This special day is sandwiched between Black Friday and Cyber Monday to remind people to support their local businesses and not buy all their holiday items online. Red Hook Public Library is having Kid Takeover from noon to 2pm. Caregivers interested in shopping child-free can register their kids (four years and older) for games, crafts and/or a movie (G-rated Sonic 2). Email Amy@redhooklibrary.org to register or for more information. It’s a great opportunity to get out and support the wonderful shops and restaurants we have in Red Hook.
On December 2nd folks will have an additional opportunity to shop and get to know business owners. Many businesses in the Village of Red Hook have an Open House and will be open until 8pm.
